     Rear-Admiral Walter Reginald Glynn Petre was born on 14 December 1873.1 He was the son of Sir George Glynn Petre and Emma Katharine Julia Sneyd.2 He married Agnes Marie Cadic, daughter of Eugene Cadic, on 22 January 1906.1 He died on 26 December 1942 at age 69.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was Captain of the Port of Constantinople.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1

     Agnes Marie Cadic was born in 1880 at Brighton, Sussex, England.2 She was the daughter of Eugene Cadic.1 She married Rear-Admiral Walter Reginald Glynn Petre, son of Sir George Glynn Petre and Emma Katharine Julia Sneyd, on 22 January 1906.1 She died on 21 September 1963.1
     Her married name became Petre.

     He was educated at The Oratory School, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force.1 He was with BOAC.1
