     Lt.-Col. John Desmond Cavendish Brownlow, 4th Baron Lurgan was born on 29 June 1911.1 He was the son of Hon. Francis Cecil Brownlow and Angela Platt.1 He died in 1991.2
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the Grenadier Guards.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1950.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Lurgan, of Lurgan, co. Armagh [U.K., 1839] in 1984.3 On his death, his title became extinct.2

     Sir James Robert Dunlop Smith was born on 24 August 1858.1 He was the son of George Smith and Janet Colquhoun Adam.1 He married Beatrice Clementina Aitchison, daughter of Sir Charles Umpherston Aitchison, on 9 August 1887.1 He died on 24 April 1921 at age 62.1
     He was educated at Edinburgh High School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Political Aide-de-Camp to the Secretary of State for India.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1901.1 He was Private Secretary to the Viceroy of India between 1905 and 1910.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1910.1 He was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1916.1 He had two daughters.1
