     Major Robert Higginson Borrowes was the son of Robert Borrowes.¹ He married Hon. Louisa Katherine Browne, daughter of John Cavendish Browne, 3rd Baron Kilmaine and Elizabeth Lyon, on 9 June 1859.¹ He died on 2 February 1901, without issue.¹
