     He gained the rank of Captain in the Battle-Axe Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Belturbet between 1735 and 1763.1

     From before 1753, her married name became Stoyte.1 From 30 August 1753, her married name became Butler.1
