Jane Catherine Helen Bowlby1

     Jane Catherine Helen Bowlby was born on 7 November 1821.2 She was the daughter of Captain Thomas Bowlby and Williamina Martha Arnold Balfour.1 She married Reverend Octavius James, son of William James and Elizabeth Woodhouse, on 8 October 1844.1 She died on 25 September 1911 at age 89 at Clarghyll Hall, Alston, Cumberland, England.2
     From 8 October 1844, her married name became James.1

     Lewis James was born on 30 April 1848.1 He was the son of Reverend Octavius James and Jane Catherine Helen Bowlby.1 He married Frances Anne Bowlby, daughter of Thomas William Bowlby and Frances Marion Mein, on 2 December 1880.1 He died in December 1884 at age 36.1
