Sir Harold Lincoln Tangye, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Harold Lincoln Tangye, 1st Bt. was born on 16 January 1866.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Tangye and Caroline Jesper.1 He married, firstly, Annie Gilzean, daughter of Sir Hugh Gilzean-Reid, on 24 September 1889.2 He married, secondly, Florence Phoebe Otway, daughter of Loftus William Otway, in 1923.2 He died on 24 February 1935 at age 69.1
     Sir Harold Lincoln Tangye, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Lincoln.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.2 He was created 1st Baronet Tangye, of Glendorgal, St. Columb Minor, co. Cornwall [U.K.] on 10 July 1912.1 He was deputy chairman of Tangyes Ltd.2 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (M.I.Mech.E.)2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)2
