     Claud Hugh Strickland was born on 15 April 1871.² He was the son of Algernon Augustine de Lille Strickland and Charlotte Anne Hoare.² He married, firstly, Maud Mary Gordon-Canning, daughter of Patrick Gordon-Canning, in 1895.² He and Maud Mary Gordon-Canning were divorced in 1904.² He married, secondly, Una Clara Margaret Bell, daughter of Charles Bell, on 12 February 1908.² He died on 16 September 1938 at age 67.²
     He lived at Charing, Kent, England^G.¹
