     Donald Francis Napier Dalrymple was born on 20 November 1888.¹ He was the son of Walter Francis Dalrymple and Agnes Raney Owen.¹ He married, firstly, Muriel M. M. Alger.¹ He and Muriel M. M. Alger were divorced in 1913.¹ He married, secondly, Blanche Annie Elphinstone Humphreys, daughter of Sir John Humphreys, on 23 June 1913.¹ He died in 1947.¹
