     Ewen John Brodie is the son of Major David James Brodie of Lethen.1 He married Mariota Steuart-Menzies, daughter of Lt.-Col. Ronald Steuart-Menzies and Sybil Mary Willoughby Boulton, on 4 August 1967.1

     Sir John Henry Pelly, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 March 1809. He married, firstly, Johanna Jane Carstairs, daughter of John Carstairs, on 19 December 1840. He married, secondly, Blanche Elizabeth Vincent, daughter of Rev. Sir Frederick Vincent, 11th Bt., on 13 November 1860. He died on 20 December 1864 at age 55.
     Sir John Henry Pelly, 2nd Bt. gained the title of 2nd Baronet Pelly.

     Johanna Jane Carstairs was the daughter of John Carstairs. She married Sir John Henry Pelly, 2nd Bt. on 19 December 1840. She died on 2 February 1856.
     Her married name became Pelly.

     Charles Raymond Pelly was born on 16 June 1845. He was the son of Sir John Henry Pelly, 2nd Bt. and Johanna Jane Carstairs. He died on 23 July 1866 at age 21, unmarried.
     Charles Raymond Pelly gained the rank of officer in the service of the Royal Navy.
