     Friedrich II König von Preußen was born on 24 January 1712.3 He was the son of Friedrich Wilhelm I König von Preußen and Sophia Dorothea Hanover, Princess of Great Britain.2 He married Elisabeth Christine Prinzessin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, daughter of Ferdinand Albrecht II Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Antoinette Amalie Prinzessin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, on 12 June 1733 at Schloss Salzdahlem, Wolfenbüttel, Niedersachsen, Germany.3 He died on 17 August 1786 at age 74 at Sans Souci Palace, Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany.3
