     Hermann Adolf 5th Fürst zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich was born on 15 April 1838.2 He was the son of Ferdinand Prinz zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich and Karoline Gräfin von Collalto und San Salvatore.2 He married Agnes Gräfin zu Stolberg-Wernigerode, daughter of Wilhelm Graf zu Stolberg-Wernigerode and Elisabeth Gräfin zu Stolberg-Rossla, on 20 June 1865.3 He died on 16 September 1899 at age 61.2
     Hermann Adolf 5th Fürst zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich gained the title of 5th Fürst zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich.1
