     Sarah Jane Scott was born on 28 October 1945.2 She was the daughter of Major Sir Walter Scott, 4th Bt. and Diana Mary Owen.1 She married Angus Alan Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 15th Duke of Hamilton, son of Sir Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 14th Duke of Hamilton and Lady Elizabeth Ivy Percy, on 23 June 1972.1 She and Angus Alan Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 15th Duke of Hamilton were divorced in 1987.1 She died on 17 February 1994 at age 48. She was buried on 21 February 1994.
     Sarah Jane Scott also went by the nick-name of Sally Scott. From 23 June 1972, her married name became Douglas-Hamilton. As a result of her marriage, Sarah Jane Scott was styled as Duchess of Hamilton in 1973.1
