Georg II Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont was born on 20 September 1789. He was the son of Georg I Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont and Auguste Prinzessin zu Schwarzburg-Sondershausen. He married Emma Prinzessin von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym, daughter of Viktor II Prinz von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym and Amelie Prinzessin von Nassau-Weilburg, on 26 June 1823 at Schaumburg, Germany. He died on 15 May 1845 at age 55.
He gained the title of Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont.1
