William O'Brien, 2nd Marquess of Thomond was born circa 1765. He was the son of Edward O'Bryen and Mary Carrick. He married Elizabeth Trotter, daughter of Thomas Trotter and Susanna Gorges, on 16 September 1799. He died on 21 August 1846 at Taplow House. He was buried at Taplow, Buckinghamshire, England.
