Joseph Franz Erzherzog von Österreich was born on 28 March 1895 at Brünn, Germany.1 He was the son of Joseph August Viktor Klemens Maria Erzherzog von Österreich and Auguste Maria Louise Prinzessin von Bayern.1 He married Anna Monika Pia Prinzessin von Sachsen, daughter of Friedrich August III König von Sachsen and Luise Antoinette Maria Erzherzogin von Österreich, on 4 October 1924 at Schloss Sibyllenort, Silesia, Germany.1 He died on 25 September 1957 at age 62 at Carcavelos, Portugal.1
