Georg Alexander Herzog von Mecklenburg was born on 27 August 1921 at Nice, France.2,3 He was the son of Georg Alexander Herzog von Mecklenburg and Iriana Mikhailovna Raievskya.1 He married Helene Ilona Erzherzogin von Österreich, daughter of Joseph Franz Erzherzog von Österreich and Anna Monika Pia Prinzessin von Sachsen, on 20 April 1946 at Sigmaringen, Baden-Württemburg, Germany, in a civil marriage.2 He and Helene Ilona Erzherzogin von Österreich were divorced on 12 December 1974 at Freiburg-im-Breisgau, Germany.3 Georg Alexander and Helene Ilona were remarried in a religious ceremony on 30 April 1946.3 He died on 26 January 1996 at age 74.
Georg Alexander Herzog von Mecklenburg gained the title of Herzog von Mecklenburg.4 He was baptised with the name of Georg Alexander Andreas Karl Peter Philip Ignatius Maria.3
