     Donogh MacCartie, Lord of Ealla gained the title of Lord of Ealla. Donogh MacCartie, Lord of Ealla also went by the nick-name of Donogh oge (or in English, junior).1 He killed John Barry, 9th Lord Barry on 25 December 1486, by Donagh Oge McCarthy, as a result of a predatory expedition.1
