Sir Thomas Beaumont, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir Henry Beaumont and Elizabeth Turpin.1 He married Elizabeth Trott, daughter of Sir Nicholas Trott and Mary Perient, before 1638.2 He died on 11 August 1676.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his son, William on 15 August 1676.2 He was buried at Stoughton, Leicestershire, England.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire from 1654 to 1655.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire between 1656 and 1658.2 He was created 1st Baronet Beaumont, of Stoughton Grange, co. Leicester [England] on 5 March 1657/58, by the Lord Protector.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire in 1659.2 He was created 1st Baronet Beaumont, of Stoughton Grange, co. Leicester [England] on 21 February 1660/61, recreated because the earlier creation was an Interregnun creation and therefore invalid.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire between 1668 and 1689.1
