     Rev. Sir Peile Thompson, 2nd Bt. was born on 19 July 1844.1 He is the son of Sir Matthew William Thompson, 1st Bt. and Mary Ann Thompson.2 He married Jessie Clare Beaumont, daughter of Joseph Beaumont, on 17 May 1871.1 He died on 8 April 1918 at age 73.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1869 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was ordained in 1877.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Thompson, of Park Gate, Guiseley, co. York [U.K., 1890] on 1 December 1891.1
