     Frederic James Lamb, 3rd Viscount Melbourne was born on 17 April 1782.3 He was the son of Peniston Lamb, 1st Viscount Melbourne and Elizabeth Milbanke.3 He married Alexandrina Julia Theresa Wilhelkmina Sophia Gräfin von Maltzan, daughter of Joachim Charles Leslie Mortimer Graf von Maltzan. He died on 29 January 1853 at age 70, without issue.1
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1 He was created 1st Baron Beauvale, of Beauvale, co. Nottingham [U.K.] on 20 April 1839.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Lamb, of Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire [G.B., 1755] on 24 November 1848. He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Melbourne [I., 1770] on 24 November 1848. He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Melbourne [I., 1781] on 24 November 1848.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Melbourne [U.K., 1815] on 24 November 1848.
     On his death, all of his titles became extinct.1
