     David James Abercromby was born on 25 April 1837.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Abercromby of Birkenbog, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Stephenson Douglas.1 He married Beatrice Jane Temple Frere, daughter of Reverend Henry Temple Frere and Sarah Maria Heath Jary, on 25 October 1877.1 He died on 9 March 1918 at age 80.1
     David James Abercromby was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He graduated from Cambridge University with the degree of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1864 in the service of the Royal Aberdeenshire Highland Militia.1

     Robert Ogilvie Abercromby was born on 9 September 1881.1 He was the son of David James Abercromby and Beatrice Jane Temple Frere.1 He married, firstly, Gladys Vivian Boileau, daughter of Henry Willock Boileau, on 14 July 1921.1 He married, secondly, Monica Margaret Monteith, daughter of Joseph Monteith, on 19 May 1936.1 He died on 11 May 1964 at age 82.1
