     Adeline Agnew was born on 11 February 1920.1 She is the daughter of James Stewart Agnew and Vera Charley.1 She married Dr. Lindsay Grant in 1948.1
     From 1948, her married name became Grant.1

     Captain James Agnew is the son of James Agnew.1 He married, firstly, Margaret (?) before 1738.1 He married, secondly, Rebecca Scott, daughter of Andrew Scott, before 1740.1
     In 1717 he is considered to have moved to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1756 in the service of the Military for Defence against Indians.1
