     Mary Dacre was the daughter of Sir Thomas Dacre, 2nd Lord Dacre (of Gilsland) and Elizabeth Greystoke, Baroness Greystoke.1,2 She married Francis Talbot, 5th Earl of Shrewsbury, son of George Talbot, 4th Earl of Shrewsbury and Anne Hastings, before 30 November 1523.2
     From before 30 November 1523, her married name became Talbot. After her marriage, Mary Dacre was styled as Countess of Shrewsbury on 26 July 1538.

She married, secondly, Sir Gilbert Talbot, son of John Talbot, 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Elizabeth Butler.1 She married, firstly, Thomas le Scrope, 5th Lord Scrope (of Masham), son of John le Scrope, 4th Lord Scrope (of Masham).1
