Christian Sandilands was the daughter of Sir James Sandilands of Calder.2 She married, secondly, Andrew Anstruther of Anstruther, son of Robert de Anstruther of Anstruther and Elizabeth Balfour.2 She married, firstly, David Hepburn, son of Alexander Hepburn.2

Sir James Sandilands of Calder1

Sir James Sandilands of Calder was the son of Sir John Sandilands of Calder and Christian Dundas.2,3 He married, secondly, Margaret Kerr, daughter of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford and Margaret Tweedie.4 He married Margaret Kinloch on 25 July 1463.2 He died before 1505.1 He died in 1505, by , having by her had three sons (James, of Cravie, ancestor of Sir James Sandilands created Lord Abercombie (S) 12 Dec 1647, the title expiring with the death 1681 of the latter's s James.2
In 1498 the other daughter married William Dishington of Ardross issue) and by his 1st wife, with a daughter (Christian, married 1st by David Hepburn of Waughton (see BUCHAN-HEPBURN OF SMEATON-HEPBURN, Bt), married 2nd Andrew Anstruther of that Ilk.2 On 17 May 1509 married 2nd Margaret (married 2nd c , as his 2nd wife, 4th Earl of Erroll, qv), dau of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford (see LOTHIAN, M).2 On 10 May 1521 John, of Gartcarron in Lennox, d by.2 In 1526 Peter, Rector Calder , died c 4 May 1549) and two daughters (Margaret, married 1st Robert Bruce of Auchinbowie of Stirling, married 2nd 3rd Lord Oliphant.2
