     Brigadier Alexander Meister Anstruther was born on 26 July 1902.1 He is the son of Arthur Wellesley Anstruther and Louisa Adele Rose Trapman.1 He married Barbara Ivy Ashman, daughter of Abraham Ashman, on 16 May 1939.1
     Brigadier Alexander Meister Anstruther was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier in 1946.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in 1951.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1953.1 He was chairman of Nubold Development Ltd between 1959 and 1965.1
