Peter Douglas Miller Stirling-Aird of Kippendavie was born on 13 March 1915.2 He was the son of Kenneth Aird.2 He married, firstly, Penelope Ann Stirling, daughter of Lt.-Col. Patrick Douglas Stirling, in 1942.2 He married, secondly, Lady Margaret Dorothea Boyle, daughter of Captain Patrick James Boyle, 8th Earl of Glasgow and Hyacyinthe Mary Bell, in 1973.2 He died on 10 July 2004 at age 89.2
Peter Douglas Miller Stirling-Aird of Kippendavie was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1943 in the service of the Royal Artillery.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1945, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was decorated with the award of Croix de Guerre.2 He was decorated with the award of Territorial Decoration (T.D.).1 He was managing director of R.A.
