Commander Hon. John Montagu Granville Waldegrave was born on 29 August 1905.1 He was the son of Montague Waldegrave, 5th Baron Radstock and Constance Marion Brodie.1 He married Lady Hersey Margaret Boyle, daughter of Patrick James Boyle, 8th Earl of Glasgow and Hyacyinthe Mary Bell, on 29 June 1940.1 He died on 18 February 1944 at age 38, killed on active service on H.M.S. Penelope.1
Commander Hon. John Montagu Granville Waldegrave fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1944.1 He was decorated with the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1

John Montagu Granville Waldegrave, son of Montague Waldegrave, 5th Baron Radstock and Constance Marion Brodie, on 29 June 1940.1 She married, secondly, John Goring, son of Charles Goring and Beatrice Gabrielle Mary Alleyne, on 24 July 1947.
