     Major Alister Harry Campbell was born in 1846.1 He was the son of Alexander Campbell, 1st of Auchendarroch and Harriet Agnes Marian Keir.1 He died on 28 November 1879 at Sekokuni's Kraal, South Africa, killed in action.1
     Major Alister Harry Campbell gained the rank of Major in the service of the Turkish Army.1 He fought in the Turko-Russian War between 1877 and 1878.1
