     Brigadier Arthur Darley Bridge was born on 5 January 1896.2 He died on 8 September 1967 at age 71 at King Edward VII Hospital for Officers, Beaumont Street, London, England.2
     He was commissioned on 16 June 1915 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Coldstream Guards.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) on 26 November 1917.2 He gained the rank of Major on 5 September 1930.2 He retired from the military on 1 November 1935.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier on 1 June 1945.2 He retired from the military on 10 April 1946, with the rank of Honorary Brigadier.2 He lived at 12 Mulberry Walk, London, EnglandG.1

     William Baird was born after 1659. He was the son of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Fleming.1,2 He married Catherine Binning, daughter of Sir W. Binning, on 13 February 1697.1 He died in September 1737.1
     He was a merchant at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1

     Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. was baptised on 4 October 1630 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of James Baird and Bethia Dempster.3 He married Elizabeth Fleming, daughter of Malcolm Fleming, on 18 January 1655.3 He died in February 1696/97 at age 66.3 He was buried on 2 March 1696/97 at Grey Friars, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3
     He was created 1st Baronet Baird, of Saughton Hall, co. Edinburgh [Nova Scotia] on 28 February 1695/96.3
