     John Cunningham was the son of Alexander Cuninghame of Drumquhassle and Mary Erskine.2 He married Janet Cuninghame, daughter of James Cuninghame.3
     He held the office of Master of the Household to King James VI.3 He was Chief Advisor to the Earl of Lennox (for which he was called 'the Regent's Right Hand.3') He was also known as John Cuninghame of Drumquhassle.3 He lived at Drumquhassil, ScotlandG.1

Nicola Moray1

     Nicola Moray was the daughter of Robert Moray.1 She married Robert Douglas, 1st and last Viscount Belhaven, son of Malcolm Douglas, 8th of Mains and Janet Cunningham, on 12 January 1610/11 at St. Mary Woolnoth, London, EnglandG.1 She died in November 1612, in childbed, without issue.1 She was buried at Savoy Chapel, London, EnglandG.1
     From 12 January 1610/11, her married name became Douglas.1

     Sir Robert Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 1st Bt. was the son of Edward Hamilton of Balgray and of Silvertonhill and Margaret Mure.2 He married Anne Hamilton, daughter of Sir John Hamilton of Biel, 1st Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Hon. Margaret Hamilton.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lanark.3 He sold Provan to the City of Glasgow when in financial difficulties.3 He was created 1st Baronet Hamilton, of Silvertonhill [Nova Scotia] in 1646, although the patent was not recorded in the General Register due to the Civil War.3

     Colonel Sir Robert Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Robert Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 1st Bt. and Anne Hamilton.1 He married, firstly, Aurelia Katherine van Hettingen.2 He married, secondly, Isabel Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton of Boggs.2 He died in 1708.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hamilton, of Silvertonhill [N.S., 1646].2

     Margaret Hamilton was the daughter of Sir Robert Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 1st Bt. and Anne Hamilton.1 She married John Hamilton of Biel, 2nd Lord Belhaven and Stenton, son of Sir Robert Hamilton, Lord Pressmennan and Marion Denholm, in 1674.2 She died on 4 January 1717.3
