Nicola Moray was the daughter of Robert Moray.1 She married Robert Douglas, 1st and last Viscount Belhaven, son of Malcolm Douglas and Janet Cunningham, on 12 January 1610/11 at St. Mary Woolnoth, London, England.1 She died in November 1612, in childbed, without issue.1 She was buried at Savoy Chapel, London, England.1

Sir Robert Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 1st Bt. was the son of Edward Hamilton of Balgray and of Silvertonhill and Margaret Mure.2 He married Anne Hamilton, daughter of Sir John Hamilton of Biel, 1st Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Margaret Hamilton.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lanark.3 He sold Provan to the City of Glasgow when in financial difficulties.3 He was created 1st Baronet Hamilton, of Silvertonhill [Nova Scotia] in 1646, although the patent was not recorded in the General Register due to the Civil War.3
