     James Hamilton was the son of James Hamilton and Margaret Hamilton.1 He married Helen Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton and unknown daughter Stewart, on 30 March 1652.1 He died in 1684.1
     James Hamilton was a Minister at Eaglesham, Scotland.1

     James Hamilton, Lord Pencaitland was baptised on 28 August 1659.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Hamilton, Lord Pressmennan and Marion Denholm.1 He married Catherine Denholm, daughter of James Denholm of Westshires.1 He died in 1729.1
