     Margaret Arnot was born circa 1628.1 She was the daughter of Sir James Arnot.1 She married Sir James Balfour, 1st Bt., son of Sir Michael Balfour of Denmylne and Joanna Durham, before 1653.1 She died on 15 December 1653.1
     From before 1653, her married name became Balfour.1

     Sir Robert Balfour, 2nd Bt. was born in 1652.1 He was the son of Sir James Balfour, 1st Bt. and Margaret Arnot.1 He died in 1673, killed in a duel, by Sir James Mackgill of Bankeillour.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Balfour, of Denmiln and Kinnaird, co. Fife [N.S., 1633] on 14 February 1657.1

     He graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG, in 1626.1 He was a Minister in 1634 at Abdie, Fife, ScotlandG.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Balfour, of Denmiln and Kinnaird, co. Fife [N.S., 1633] in 1673.1
