Thomas Cromwell, 1st and last Earl of Essex was born circa 1485.1 He was the son of Walter Cromwell.1 He married Elizabeth Wykes, daughter of Henry Wykes, in 1513. He died on 28 July 1540 at Tower Hill, The City, London, England, executed.1
