     Sir Edward Hartopp, 1st Bt. held the office of Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1617/18.1 He was created 1st Baronet Hartopp, of Freathby, co. Leicester [England] on 24 October 1619.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicester from 1628 to 1629.1
