     Captain Oriel William Erskine Bannerman was born on 13 December 1877.1 He was the son of General William Bannerman and Louisa Constance Goddard.1 He married Emile Henriette Lousada, daughter of Captain Charles Lousada, in September 1907.1 He died on 3 February 1915 at age 37, while on active service.1
     Captain Oriel William Erskine Bannerman gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 15th Lancers, Indian Army.1
