     Colonel Sir Robert Barclay was born on 17 January 1759.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Barclay and Grizel Bruce.¹ He was baptised on 27 February 1759.¹ He died on 6 March 1829 at age 70, unmarried.¹
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service in 1782.¹ He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in 1814.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1815.¹

     John Barclay was born on 4 August 1760.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Barclay and Grizel Bruce.¹ He married May Duddingston.¹ He died in 1816.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).¹ He lived at Conduit Street, London, England.¹
     He also had two other daughters.¹

     May Duddingston married John Barclay, son of Reverend John Barclay and Grizel Bruce.¹
     She lived at St. Fort, Fife, Scotland.¹ Her married name became Barclay.¹

     John Barclay was the son of John Barclay and May Duddingston.¹ He died, young.¹

     Margaret Bruce Barclay is the daughter of John Barclay and May Duddingston.¹ She married Sir Brook Kay, 3rd Bt. on 1 August 1818.¹
      From 1 August 1818, her married name became Kay.¹

     Sir Brook Kay, 3rd Bt. married Margaret Bruce Barclay, daughter of John Barclay and May Duddingston, on 1 August 1818.¹ He died on 16 May 1866.¹
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Kay.

     Elspeth Mitchell was born circa 1731.¹ She was the daughter of George Mitchell.¹ She married James Barclay of Towie Hill, son of Patrick Barclay of Towie Hill and Barbara Wilson, in 1748.¹ She died in 1764.¹
      From 1748, her married name became Barclay.¹

     George Mitchell lived at Mains of Laithers, Scotland.¹

     Reverend Peter Barclay was baptised on 4 June 1749.¹ He was the son of James Barclay of Towie Hill and Elspeth Mitchell.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Duddingston, daughter of James Duddingston, on 13 March 1780.¹ He married, secondly, Euphemia McPherson after 1801.¹ He died on 13 December 1841 at age 92.¹
     He was ordained in 1778.¹ He was a Minister at Kettle, Fife, Scotland.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).¹
     He also had four other daughters by his first wife.¹

     Margaret Duddingston was the daughter of James Duddingston.¹ She married Reverend Peter Barclay, son of James Barclay of Towie Hill and Elspeth Mitchell, on 13 March 1780.¹ She died in August 1801.¹
      From 13 March 1780, her married name became Barclay.¹
