     Robert Vans Agnew of Barnbarroch and Sheuchan was born on 24 April 1755.1 He was the son of John Vans Agnew of Barnbarroch and Margaret Agnew.1 He married Frances Wallace-Dunlop, daughter of John Dunlop, 19th of that Ilk and Frances Anna Wallace, on 24 February 1777 at Barnbarroch, Wigtownshire, ScotlandG.1,2 He died on 11 February 1809 at age 53.1
