     Lady Mary Maud Anson was born in 1869. She was the daughter of Thomas George Anson, 2nd Earl of Lichfield and Lady Harriett Georgiana Louisa Hamilton.1,2 She married Hon. Edward Alan Dudley Ryder, son of Henry Ryder, 4th Earl of Harrowby and Susan Juliana Maria Hamilton Dent, on 19 July 1893.1 She died on 22 September 1961.1
     Lady Mary Maud Anson usually went by her middle name of Maud.1 Her married name became Ryder. She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1
