     David James Raymond Barttelot was born on 28 February 1946.1 He is the son of Commander James Nigel Walter Barttelot and Rachel Mildred Courage.1 He married, firstly, Lucinda Jane Callingham, daughter of Commander G. R. Callingham and Sonya Lawrence, in 1973.1 He and Lucinda Jane Callingham were divorced in 1980.1 He married, secondly, Charmain Kerans, daughter of Commander John S. Kerans, in 1983.1
     David James Raymond Barttelot was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was admitted to Liveryman of the Armourers' and Brasiers' Company in 1980.1 He lived in 2003 at 49 Grandison Road, London, England.1
