James John Hamilton was born in 1788.2 He was the son of Henry Hamilton and Mary Wetherall.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Carter, daughter of Thomas Carter and Catherine Butler, circa 1810.3 He married, secondly, Hon. Anne Geraldine de Courcy, daughter of John de Courcy, 19th Lord Kingsale and Susan Blennerhassett, in 1821.2 He died in 1842.2
