     Sir Henry Bedingfeld, 1st Bt. was born in September 1614.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Bedingfeld and Elizabeth Houghton.1 He married Margaret Paston, daughter of Edward Paston and Frances Sydenham, in April 1635.1 He died on 24 February 1684/85 at age 70.1 He was buried at Oxburgh, Norfolk, England.1 His will (dated 30 June 1684) was probated on 9 March 1684/85.1
     Sir Henry Bedingfeld, 1st Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the King's Army.1 He was created 1st Baronet Bedingfeld, of Oxbrough, co. Norfolk [England] on 2 January 1660/61, for the losses sustained by his family in the Royalist cause (estimated at £47,000).1
