     Fortune Collin was born in 1654.2 She was the daughter of Laurence Collin.1 She married Thomas Smith, son of John Smith and Elizabeth Garton, on 27 February 1681.1 She died in March 1715/16.1
     From 27 February 1681, her married name became Smith.2

     Thomas Smith was born circa 1682.2 He was the son of Thomas Smith and Fortune Collin.1 He married Mary Manley, daughter of Thomas Manley.1 He died on 8 January 1727/28.1
     In 1717 he purchased the estate of Broxtowe.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire from 1717 to 1718.1 He lived at Broxtowe, Nottinghamshire, England.1
     He had five daughters.1
