Sir John Berney, 7th Bt. was born circa 1757.1 He was the son of Sir Hanson Berney, 6th Bt. and Catharine Woodhall.1 He married Lady Henrietta Nevill, daughter of George Neville, 1st Earl of Abergavenny and Henrietta Pelham, on 9 September 1779.2 He died on 4 September 1825 at Brugge, Belgium.1 He was also reported to have died in October 1825.1 He was buried at English Cemetery, Brugge, Belgium.1
