     Lieutenant Henry Negus Burroughes was born on 21 November 1821 at Burlingham Hall, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Henry Negus Burroughes and Jane Sarah Hoste.1 He married Ida Fynes-Clinton, daughter of Henry Fynes-Clinton and Katharine Majendie, on 21 June 1855 at Burlingham Hall, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He died on 9 January 1856 at age 34, without issue.2
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.3
