     Maj.-Gen. Dixon Edward Hoste was born in 1827 at Norwich, Norfolk, England.2 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Charles Hoste and Lady Mary Burroughs.2 He married Mary Scott in 1857 at Henstead, Norfolk, England.2 He died in 1905.2
     Maj.-Gen. Dixon Edward Hoste gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1

     Her married name became Welldon.2

     Lt.-Col. William Dashwood Hoste was born on 17 March 1826 at Litcham, Norfolk, England.1 He was the son of Reverend James Hoste and Theophilia Elizabeth Turner.1 He died on 28 October 1872 at age 46 at India.1
     Lt.-Col. William Dashwood Hoste gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 6th Punjab Infantry.1
