     Joanna Maitland was the daughter of Reverend James Maitland.1 She married Rev. Dr. William Boyd of Myrton, son of Reverend Andrew Boyd and Margaret Boyd, on 16 August 1762.1 She died on 31 July 1802.1
     From 16 August 1762, her married name became Boyd.1
