Very Rev. Albert Victor Baillie was born on 5 August 1864.2 He was the son of Evan Peter Montagu Baillie of Dochfour and Lady Frances Anna Bruce. He married Hon. Constance Elizabeth Hamilton-Russell, daughter of Gustavus Russell Hamilton-Russell, 8th Viscount Boyne and Lady Katherine Frances Scott, on 9 August 1898.1 He died on 3 November 1955 at age 91.1

Canon of Worcester between 1905 and 1908.2 He held the office of Canon of Coventry between 1908 and 1912.2 He was the Vicar and Sub-Dean between 1912 and 1917 at St. Michael’s Collegiate Church, Coventry, Warwickshire, England.2 He was the Vicar between 1915 and 1917 at Styvechale, Coventry, Warwickshire, England.2 He held the office of Chaplain-in-Ordinary to HM King George V in 1917.2 He held the office of Registrar of the Order of the Garter between 1917 and 1944.2 He held the office of Dean of Windsor between 1917 and 1944.2 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) by Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1918.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1932.2 He held the office of Domestic Chaplain to HM King Edward VIII in 1936.2 He held the office of Domestic Chaplain to HM King George VI between 1937 and 1944.2
