     Rupert William Dudley Leigh, 4th Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh was born on 14 March 1908.3 He is the son of Major Hon. Rupert Leigh and Beatrice Mary Smith.2 He married Anne Hicks-Beach, daughter of Ellis Hicks-Beach, on 27 April 1931.3 He died on 24 June 1979 at age 71.3
     Rupert William Dudley Leigh, 4th Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh, co. Warwick [U.K., 1839] on 16 May 1938.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 11th Hussars.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars.3 He was decorated with the award of Territorial Decoration (T.D.).3 He held the office of High Steward of Sutton Coldfield.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire in 1946.3 He was an owner and trainer of racehorses.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire in 1962.3

     Emma Tatton was born in 1809.3 She was the daughter of Thomas William Tatton and Emma Grey.2 She married Sir Henry Mainwaring, 2nd Bt., son of Henry Mainwaring Mainwaring and Sophia Salusbury, on 24 January 1832 at Wythenshaw Hall, Northenden, England.2 She died in 1886.3
     From 24 January 1832, her married name became Mainwaring.3
