     Madeline Herschel Whately was born circa 1889.1 She was the daughter of Henry Arthur Whately.1 She married Shane Randolph Chichester, son of Hon. Francis Algernon James Chichester and Lady Emily Octavia Stewart, on 26 December 1914.1 She died on 14 August 1977.1
     From 26 December 1914, her married name became Chichester.1
