     Robert de Ferrers, 1st Earl of Derby was born circa 1062 at Derbyshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry de Ferrieres and Bertha Roberts.1 He married Hawise de Vitre, daughter of Andre de Vitre and Agnes de Mortaigne, circa 1087 at Vitre, Bretagne, France.1 He died in 1139.1
     Robert de Ferrers, 1st Earl of Derby was created 1st Earl of Derby in 1138.
